Shauna is absolutely fantastic. My family was looking to add a British Shorthair to our household, and I met Shauna at an LCWW cat show. She was so informative, kind, and helpful, we decided to add our names to her interest list when kittens became available. The entire process was seamless - we received updates, photos, and videos on a regular basis, and got to know our kitten before we even took him home. He is the sweetest baby ever. Fit right in immediately - it goes to show how much care was put into his upbringing. I would not hesitate to recommend TLC Brits to anyone looking for a British Shorthair, Shauna really cares about all of her cats and their forever homes.

If there was a 100 out of 5, I'd give Shauna that. She was helpful throughout the entire process. Whether it was from live streams and pictures of the babies, having updates on how they were doing, answering questions at different times of the day, to even providing support after picking up our Clementine, she has been amazing and is an all-around good person. Shauna even made sure Clementine knew her name so when we call she comes.

For having tortitude, Clementine is a sweetheart. She'll lay by me on the couch or when my partner is working in the home office. She doesn't hiss or bite when meeting people, and loves a cheek and chin rub.

The best decision ever made was finding Shauna.

Shauna is wonderful to work with. She is very involved with the kittens and their families, even after they have left her care. She is very responsive to communication via text, social media and even using the good ol' phone call! She is knowledgeable and is willing to share that with the new owners.

The cattery is located in her home, with the Queens having free roam of the house. Once they are ready to deliver, they are sequestered to the "nursery" where the kittens remain until they are old enough to socialize with other litters and the other cats. The boys have a nice catio outside where they reside, unless neutered (they are let indoors to hang out with the girls). Her home was clean and very orderly. You would not know she had cattery when you first walk in.

Shauna knows her stuff and gets to know each kitten. I purchased 2 kittens. Shauna gave frequent updates, encouraged other littermate parents to share and keep in touch. Definitely a feeling of family! Shauna was able to tell me with exactness each of my kittens personalities prior to them coming home, so that I could be prepared. The kittens were well socialized and adjusted quickly to their new home.

I cannot recommend her enough, if you are looking for a BSH kitten.

From learning more about the litter to picking up my kitten to now having him for a 2 months, the care Shauna pours into her cats is incredibly evident. As a new pet owner, I had a ton of questions - all of which she answered. And she is always happy to answer questions even after the kittens leave the Cattery. She made the entire process smooth and fun, for my kittens entire litter she sent us lots of videos and pictures of the kittens periodically so we could watch them play and grow up before they could fly to us. Now with my kitten (5 months old in the pictures below) he has been so sweet since day 1. His temperament and playfulness are so lovely and charming. He's a hit with everyone he meets! Shauna raises her kittens and cats with such great care, which you can easily tell from talking with her and when raising your kitten. She makes sure the cats are finding their forever homes, and I really couldn't have asked for a better experience or a better cat! If you're looking for a cat to be your companion, this is the Cattery for it - Shauna's genuine devotion to everything (the cats, the future owners, etc) is something to seriously consider and I so deeply appreciate it all!

When my husband and I were ready for a kitten, we knew we wanted a British Shorthair and hoped to find a cattery in California. I contacted TLC as they had kittens available. I was immediately smitten with our new family member, Nigel. It had been over 18 years since we welcomed a kitten into our home–our cats had lived long, happy lives. So, I was a little nervous about the potential pitfalls of working with a breeder online. However, after several interactions with Penny (Shauna) on the phone and a Facetime session with Nigel, it was clear that TLC is not just a business; it is a labor of love. When picking up Nigel, we saw first-hand that Penny raises the kittens in her home as part of the family. She is very knowledgeable about breed standards and does not hesitate to disclose the history and lineage of her cats. We were able to meet Nigel’s parents and siblings. We were able to see that the cats and kittens had full run of the house. TLC is undoubtedly a family affair with cats mingling together as well as with dogs and humans, yielding comfortable, well-socialized kittens. My husband and I are so happy to have Nigel as part of our family. He is healthy, playful, smart, and cuddly. He loves to follow us around the house, and he enjoys taking in the view from our living room window. I know that Nigel is the sweet, loving kitten he is, in part, because he started life in the home of a caring, ethical breeder.
