When your kitten comes home I will let you know exactly what their preferences are. They have been introduced to raw food from 4-6 weeks old. They primarily eat minced chicken (fortified with bone) whole animal raw meat. I also add toppers such as raw, unseasoned carne asada, pork and/or chicken thigh pieces (1/2-1"). They may have tried raw shrimp, anchovies or canned cooked salmon. The raw minced chicken comes from Mad Butcher Company. You can look into other companies that allow you to order online.

*Never defrost Wholesome Raw in the microwave. 1 pounds defrosts in 1-2 hours at room temperature or 24 in the fridge.

RAW Feeding Instructions
You MUST feed raw for a minimum of one week so you have a baseline of stools and eating habits before switching food. Raw is not as gross or difficult as you might think!
If you are switching to a commercial diet, do so AFTER the 1 week of raw. Then you may switch right over (no mixing or gradual change please).
Step 1: Put half of each of the premades back in the freezer. The pork is already spilt up for you. Raw meat is only good in the fridge for three days!
Step 2: Follow the Pie chart on my website for portioning meals. Exact amounts may between meals due to your kitty’s appetite. Kittens should be allowed to eat as much as they want!! This is how your kitty's plate should look on average.
Step 3: Feed sardines 2x a week only. Just a spoonful. If you are also feeding whole prey, feed one whole chick once a week then offer raw premade after. Offer pinkie rats on another day then offer raw premade after.
Step 4: Kittens are used to their food being left out a full 24hours to graze on. If you wish to change that switch to timed feedings by taking food away after 15 mins then offering it again in 12 hours. This is usually done once in the morning once in the evening.
Step 5: If your kitty is still hungry feed them more. If your kitty has leftovers after 24 hours throw food away and feed a smaller portion next time.
